From the voice of an Angel- A lesson from the 2012 Olympics

“For me life is continuously being hungry. The meaning of life is not simply to exist, to survive, but to move ahead, to go up, to achieve, to conquer. “~Arnold Schwarzenegger

The 2012 Olympics is here. It’s the world’s platform for champions and their chance to show the world why they are considered the masters of their sports. If you’re like me you will tune in to see who will take home the gold!

Today I caught the tail end of the US Women’s basketball game, and based on my readings from various articles the team got off to a rocky start but start turning things around in the 3rd quarter; defeating Croatia 81-56 in their Olympic opener.

Angel McCoughtry was credited for bringing a “spark” off the bench and helping the US achieve this victory. During the post-game interview the interviewer remarked “this is your first time at the Olympics, what have you learned?” Angel responded about how incredible the experience was but  ended by saying  “be hungry, I am hungry for it, we are hungry for it and ready to go get it”

What a great lesson from a champion, which “sparked” today’s ReCode message: Be Hungry!

Be hungry for something! Success, motivation, purpose, education, the environment, learning; it doesn’t matter what you choose. What DOES matter is that you have  passion for life. Be hungry for achieving your goals, helping others, making a difference, be hungry to FEEL ALIVE.   Don’t settle for a life on auto-pilot.

Our physical bodies indicates hunger to us for survival, our spirit does the same. Our inner man needs to be fed when we feel depressed, sad, unmotivated, stagnant, or as if we are just going through life on auto pilot. Feed your spirit by doing the things you love, have a passion for, or feel a sense of accomplishment after completing.

Today’s Recode Message: If your spirit is feeling hungry, ReCode to start feeding it!
